A cost centre is defined as a department within a company that is not directly going to generate revenues and profits but is still incurring expenses to the company for its operations. Cost centres support the management in using the resources smartly by understanding how they are used in the company.

Each Company may have multiple cost centres and their definitions. Still, in this case, a cost centre mainly manages the financial flow and organizes the complete finance of a part of the organization.
