How to Create a candidate self-task?

The Self task is a candidate’s task. The candidate should complete the task within the closing period. In order to create this task, please navigate through the following,

Home >> Onboarding >> Tasks

The task is created in the following two steps:

Step -1: Add a task type.


First, add task types based on the tasks. The task type describes the purpose or nature of the task. Example: Learning, Assets, candidate verification, etc.

Home >> Onboarding >> Tasks >> Task Types >> Select Entity >> + Add New

On clicking + Add New, a side overlay opens. Enter the title of the task type.

The code is auto generated based on the title.


Now, click on Submit to add the task type.

Step – 2: Create the task.

After adding the task types needed, use them to create the tasks. To do that, please navigate as shown,

Onboarding >> Tasks >> Tasks >> Select Entity >> + Add New

On clicking + Add New, on the new page, enter the details.

Give the description of the task.

Select the task assignee from the drop-down.

Reminder Trigger

5 days

Enter the days before which the reminder notifications are to be started.

Interval Trigger

2 days

Enter the interval between each reminder.

Distribution List - Select by

Employee / Role

The employees by role or employees in the distribution list will be notified when this task is assigned to the candidate.


Upon entering all the details, click on Submit to create the task.
